UNSCENE News 9/2 The Unscene has a new phone number. We can now be reached at 541-344-6354. To make submissions to the online calendar, email queen_autumn@yahoo.com. For questions or information about everything else, email unscenemag@hotmail.com. 8/30 The online calendar has been updated. 8/23 Issue #14 is on the streets! This will be the last printed issue of The Unscene. Pick up a copy to find out why, or wait until we add the issue's contents to this web site (could be a while...). 8/17 Last week's calendar crisis has been averted! Thanks to Queen Autumn for stepping up to become our new calendar editor. See the online calendar to learn how to get your shows listed on this web site. And thanks to Reed for her time and effort as the previous calendar editor. 8/10 The online calendar has been updated. Check it out to learn why the calendar may soon cease to exist. 7/29 The online calendar has been updated. 7/19 Issue #14 is currently in the layout stage. Expect to see it on the streets by mid-August. We are also formatting the contents of issues #13 and #14 for this web site. Both issues will be added to the zine archives soon. 7/8 The Unscene staff extend their sincere appologies to anyone who submitted show dates via this web site and saw no results. The dimwits behind The Unscene magazine and The Unscene web site were not coordinated enough to share information on a regular basis. We are trying to get our shit together. We now have a new system in place for updating the calendar, thanks to Reed from KWVA. Check out the Calendar to learn more. 4/22 New dates have been added to the calendar. 3/29 Here is an article about the UNSCENE that appeared in The Register Guard. 3/21 Issue #12 has been added to the zine archives. 2/24 Had a few technical difficulties this week, but everything is back to normal. The November 2001 issue of the UNSCENE has been added to the Zine Archives. I will be pulling issues saved on the old UNSCENE site out and adding them to the Archive as well. So expect to see issues form early 2001 upto summer time. It will take some time to acquire the rest of the late summer and early fall issues, seeing how nobody has copies on disk. What does this mean? Well, if they can't be found on disk then somebody has to re-type them. The newest of copy of the UNSCENE has been printed and is ready to be stapled, and I have been promised a copy on disk that can be added to the website. I have been informed that future paper copies of the UNSCENE will only be printed when enough material has been procured to fill 24 pages. However, articles will be posted on the website as soon as they are written and given to me. 2/11 First off I would like to apologize to all those who have been waiting for this page to be updated. During the past month other aspects of my life have required my utmost attention (school), and have thus caused me to neglect my duties to the site. However, I now have a completed framework for the site, and my hopes are that it will make it easier for me to maintain. For the moment things are a little bare, but as I get all the new pages built it will start to grow. I have the articles from the last issue of the UNSCENE on disk and will be adding them to the site in the next day or two. Past issues of the UNSCENE will be archived on the site as soon as 1.) I have finished building the server side software 2.) I procure copies of past issues on disk. (ie. issues between July and October) On another note, due to the large gaps in time between the release of published issues of the UNSCENE, articles for upcoming issues will be made available online before the actual published release. | News | About | Pictures | Message Board | Calendar | Links | |
